Foggy Morning

Foggy Morning



I reluctantly prepared my breakfast,
because I saw from my window that outside was still freezing
Anyway I'm glad that I made it and I'm now ready to work
It's indescribable how I miss my family back home, I will visit them soon
Well, I'm doing my best to finish the work here and pray that everything goes well
And so, I can have my vacation backhome peacefully

Thank God for giving me new inspiration and motivation every morning

Broccoli Soup

Broccoli Soup



Ingredients

1 Big head broccoli floret
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Butter
5 Tbsp Cornstarch
2 L Water
1 Tsp Sugar
1 Tsp Chopped garlic
Salt & Pepper

Cooking Steps

Cut each broccoli floret and leave a little stalk of each cluster

Heat the butter, as it melts, throw in the cutted broccoli and stir them evenly with the melted butter
Put in garlic, salt, pepper and stir quickly

Pour the water
Mixed evenly cornstarch with 2 Tbsp cold water and put it in to thicken the soup
(you can add more of mixed cornstarch and water, if you think it isn't thick enough)
When it is boiling, crack the egg and stir them quickly for 1 min
Remove from the stove and ready to serve for 3 portions

Eating Alone

 •   EATiNG ALONE



Until now I don't like eating alone
But, I can't avoid the situation that sometimes I must eat alone
I don't know when I began realizing this feeling
When I was younger, I went to many places with many friends
And it seemed that I've always got people watching over me
Therefore I've never thought about it

I think since I left my country and came to this foreign country
Meeting new people and there aren't a lot of friends like back home
Besides, I can't afford to always hang out and always eat out
And so, I must accept that sometimes I must eat alone.
Does it happen to you too?

However, I'm grateful that I'm able to enjoy meals even I eat alone
Because not everyone can enjoy eating alone,
so here I share with you how to learn eating alone

Watch your mealtimes and discipline is important
It will train you to manage your working hours and your  relaxing time
Because if you are alone, you will tend to do whatever you want without thinking its impact to your health later. It's necessary to have three mealtimes a day : breakfast, lunch and dinner

Have a note and write down what you've eaten
It will show you nutrition you've consumed.
When you get sick, you can see this note and you can easily find what variety of food you lack of. Then, you can unconciously develop your menu planner to keep your body fit

Eating in appropriate manner
Even you are alone, try to always eat slowly and wash your hands before eating.
Don't rush your food and enjoy every bite
If you don't have much time, reduce the portion
It's always better to eat less and slowly, than to eat much in a rush

Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste

Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste
N a s i G o r e n g T e r a s i

Ingredients

(for two portions)
250 gr Long grain rice
750 ml Water
5 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp Chopped garlic
1 Egg
1 Onion
4 Dried Chilli
2 gr Cooked shrimp paste
3 Tbsp Soy sauce
2 Tbsp Soybean sauce
2 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 Tbsp Sugar
Salt & Pepper
Cucumber

Cooking Steps

Wash the rice twice and cook rice properly with the measured water
Cut cucumber and put them in refrigerator

Ground onion, garlic, chilli and the cooked shrimp paste

After rice is ready, heat the oil in a fry pan
Stir the grounded spices (from no.2) and throw in the eggs
After the eggs cooked, throw in the rice and stir evenly
Put all other spices and don't forget to add some salt and pepper
Stir them quickly for about 5 min and it's ready for two portions
~ Serve them warm with the cold cucumber ~

Fall 2011

Yes, it's fall, but I won't let my hope fall!
No, my faith will not fall !

The temperature is getting colder and it doesn't fit me actually
But, the view of the fall season calms me
Leaves are changing their color
They are yellow and together with autumn breeze they are falling
This season appears to bring my mood up
As the leaves fall, the trees can still endure the freezing temperature
And they will be green and thick again in the next summer

So, why sould I be worried of my future,
when I know God has planned everything beautifully?
Praise the Lord for each of His living creatures shows the great of the living God
Trees and leaves are phsycally speechles,
however I can hear them loudly speak about hope and faith, especially in this fall season
I have hope, because I know He is faithful in all seasons

Hooray, it's Saturday... I love Saturday!
I don't cook today, just relaxing at home...
calling my parents back home and watching some recorded reality show
such as Master Chef Indonesia, Project Runway US and The american next top model!

It's just a perfect time enjoying my french fries too!

A secret to tell you to have super tasty french fries like mine
I use Würzsalz from Block House for seasoning


It's very me...easy, uncomplicated and fast way to have delicate food at home

"Quick" Fried Noodles


 "QUICK" FRIED NOODLES
"QUICK" BAKMI GORENG

Ingredients :
150gr Egg noodles
2 or 3 Leaves of chinese cabbage
1 Dried chilli
A half clove garlic
3 Tbsp of soy sauce
3 Tbsp of sweet sauce
1 Tbsp of oyster sauce
Salt and pepper
Oil
1L Water

Cooking Steps

Put water in a pan, when the water is boiling, throw in the noodles
After 3 min drain the noodles and flush them with cold water

Heat the oil in a pan
Fry garlic first and throw in cooked noodles
Throw in chilli and other spices, quickly stir them evenly with the noodles
Last, throw in the chinese cabbage
Stir them quickly for about 5 min and it's ready!

Sadness and Happiness

31 March 2011 was my last day in my super cute apartment
...which gave me so much memory of my life!
It was my home sweet home for more than 5 years
I wasn't very sad, when I left, but after I fully realized that I don't live there anymore..
I cried and couldn't believe it


Therefore, although my cellphone's camera having that stupid burn circle in the corner
I keep these photos to remind all happy moment..

Tempeh Penyet - Sambal Peteh


Tempe Penyet - Sambal Peteh
"Tombo Kangen" from Indonesia

Simple Ingredients:

Sambal Peteh from KONIGSVOGEL brand

Tempeh
Salt
Grounded Garlic
Grounded Coriander
Oil

Easy Cooking Steps:

Mix salt, grounded garlic and coriander and few drops of water in  a flat plate
Slice tempeh 1 cm thick & make crosscuts on both sides of each slice to help permeate the mixed ingredients later
Apply the mixed ingredients evenly
Wait about 10-15 min to let the flavor of spices permeate the tempeh

Heat the oil and fry the tempeh
Be careful not to fry them to long, because they get easily dry & hard
 Drain up the oil
Put Sambal Peteh on it and slightly press them, get evenly flavor as you want

"Ready to eat while warm, enjoy!"

It' easy and I like to use some ready stuffs that I bought from asian shop,
so it wouldn't take much of my time!
It's simple and I ensure you too would be addicted!

Weary Thursday

Normally I woke up at around 7 AM, because I need to quietly prepare breakfast and enjoy my morning. But, it's been almost 2 weeks that I wake up at around 8 AM and I'm rushing to get everything ready on time!

And  this morning I was very unmotivated...
There is still a lot to do,  browsing jobs, working on some new portfolios, help voluntarily draw some pictures for christmas ....and the most important : designing my upcoming business! For now, I'm not sure about anything... I'm just doing my best and pray that The Lord make this happen.

It's difficult to keep going and working  hard on it...
 I always feel anxious & it seems that my effort would be just a waste...
However, I keep reminding myself that The Lord has given me a wonderful talent and it's surely not a waste... I must grow it and bear fruits!

Therefore I call my blog "Budding Flames"
I want to start brighten my life with the fire I got in me
I'm now 29 years old, but it isn't too late... to start my own business and start blogging! :-)
